Thank you Elie for responding to my e-mail concerning the where abouts of any relatives I may have over there. My Fathers parents names were"  Abraham (Ibrahim) and Lulia (loolia), my father had several brothers that remained in Kobayat.

He had a Brother that was a Maronite Priest. He had a daughter named " Yesmein"  who married a man with the last name of "Doher". Yesmein and her husband moved to the U S A. The Priest was said to have moved to " Brazil". Dad was about 15 or so when He came here to the States. He received letters from home some times, I was pretty young at the time. I know he loved his family and missed them often. His dream was to return but he never got to do that. I don't know if his brother "the Priest"  ever went back to Lebanon. The priest's name was Amon or Amein ?

A friend of mine from our church gave me this web site and said you may be able to shed some light on some questions that we have been unable to find answers to.

I am getting up in years but my grand children have lots of questions as I did and not many answers about my parents that came from "Kobayat" when they were quite young. (not together). My Father was about 14 or 16 when he came here. He has been dead for over 30 years. If you feel you may know the family (Antoun), or have the time to look up any relatives please let me know. His name was Louis (pronounced - Elease ?) Abraham Antone (Antoun). His mother and brothers were still living when he came here. His sister Hanood married Mike Abraham from the Mutran family. Kobayat was always given as his place of birth.
