It was so emotional to see once again all those beautiful places and faces. For my father it was even more excited to see all the old pictures and the picture of the Kobayat we printed it and put it in a frame.
It was also wonderful to see my cousin Joe Samaha and his beautiful wife getting married.

I visited Lebanon for the second time in my life about six years ago, and it made me feel more proud of my roots.
Let me know if I could sent you some pictures of all the people from Kobayat that live here, so you can put them in this great page.

Chers Messieurs.

It's a new invitation to be real Christians. The main letter of our Lady is: Pray the Rosary (the prayer of heart), Read the Holy Bible, Confession monthly, Eucharistic life (the mass is the center of our life), and (in French) le jeune ASSAWM, on Wednesday and Friday...

Our Lady is doing many spiritual transformation in her village. Many people are coming back renewed and deeply changed... I pray that may God help us in finding our real goal in spiritual life as Christians... World is waiting many things...

He had a Brother that was a Maronite Priest. He had a daughter named " Yesmein"  who married a man with the last name of "Doher". Yesmein and her husband moved to the U S A. The Priest was said to have moved to " Brazil". Dad was about 15 or so when He came here to the States. He received letters from home some times, I was pretty young at the time. I know he loved his family and missed them often. His dream was to return but he never got to do that. I don't know if his brother "the Priest"  ever went back to Lebanon. The priest's name was Amon or Amein ?

Thank You again for answering me. May the Happy Easter Season remain with You !
I can send a picture of my father when he was about late 20's or early 30's. Please let me know if you want the picture.
Thank you again for your time, and God Bless You.

Elli,

A friend of mine from our church gave me this web site and said you may be able to shed some light on some questions that we have been unable to find answers to.

I am getting up in years but my grand children have lots of questions as I did and not many answers about my parents that came from "Kobayat" when they were quite young. (not together). My Father was about 14 or 16 when he came here. He has been dead for over 30 years. If you feel you may know the family (Antoun), or have the time to look up any relatives please let me know. His name was Louis (pronounced - Elease ?) Abraham Antone (Antoun). His mother and brothers were still living when he came here. His sister Hanood married Mike Abraham from the Mutran family. Kobayat was always given as his place of birth.

Hoping to hear from you.

Sincerely, Mrs. Dorothy (Antoun) Hill

Dear Mr. Elie.

My name is ELIAS ELIAS. I am from katlebe, and I am not resident in kobayat, now I prepare my PhD thesis in business administration.

I am a regular visitor of kobayat web site and also I am proud for this work.

I suggest to plan for a new sheet for peoples between 18 and 30-35 years old witch contains their studies, careers, experiences, their works and where they live ....   Maybe it help them to find a job and be a reference, also it helps to decrease distance between the new generation... do not hesitate to call me for any help you need it will be a pleasure for me.

Sincerely, Elias

Dear Elie,
I am proud of Kobayat website. You are doing a marvelous job in this regard so we, all the kobayatians overseas, stay in touch with our town of origin, our dear Kobayat.
How are your parents, mainly my teacher, your dad? Please, say hello to him. I like him so much.
I am happy for my friend, Fr Mounir HAKME, for signing his new book. It is wonderful to have authors like him enriching our library with useful books. Please, if you see him, congratulate him on my behalf.

Keep your zeal up. May the Lord bless your hands.

Michelle

Dear Elie,

I find your site extremely informational and comprehensive and the details quite amazing! I wonder if you have considered designing a site map page to add to the site however? I believe it would make the navigation even easier, particularly if a visitor has a favorite page or part they like to visit regularly and go to directly.

I look forward to meeting with you soon,

Hello Elie,

Just wanted to let you know that you have a wonderful site.
I have bookmarked it and will return back many times in the future. It is loaded with much informations. Have enjoyed it very much and will let my Leb friends know about it.

By the way, is there any way that you can place the village of Syr al denniye (how ever you spell it) in your Lebanese villages and towns??? It would be nice to have some info on Syr since no other site has it. My late father came from there.

What the Lebanese people here in the states needs is a site on Lebanese genealogy, maybe you could start a site like that?

Thank you for reading my e-mail... God Bless you and your site

Elie,

A bientôt
