===============================

cher Elie,

Her brother Joseph has an automotive repair in the saha, her sister Therese married to Ibn George Shallita, her other sister Margo is the wife of Raymond Fares. She has also a recently married brother Edward Chahine. Her sister Marie married and lives in Beitroun....If you see them tell them we miss them and love them all....and Kobayat....the people of Kobayat.... And ALL of OUR SACRED LUBNAN.

The following photos are my relatives' pictures that came from Kobayat.

The picture Ant2a belongs to a cousin of my grandmother (Mariana Zeitune).
Unhappily we don't know her name and they glued the picture in a door picture, impeding of seeing the registrations. I am trying to restore carefully because the registrations were made by him. This cousin didn't come to Brazil, being in Kobayat and I thinks he belonged to the army.

The picture Ant1 belongs to my grandfather Miguel Daher (Makhul) and of my grandmother Marianna Daher Zeitune (Myriani), already in Brazil, in the decade of 20.

The picture Ant4 belongs to my great-grandmother Rafka Elias Zeitune (in spite of the last name Zeitune, she is my grandfather's mother Miguel).

First, let me congratulate you on this very well documented and interesting site. However, I would like to point out that in your History of the Maronite Church, you quote from the Catholic Encyclopedia and, therefore, all the facts concerning the modern period date from the year 1910 at the latest, hence the very low figures and words such as "vilayet" that have ceased to have any bearing on Lebanon since 1918.

. Encore une fois bravo!

Subject: Many Thanks Elie.

Dearest friend Elie,

I could not thank you enough because words are unable to express my feeling this morning when I visited your beautiful website and found your message attached to 2 photos of our home in Kobayat. I prayed for you and your family for taking the time and having the home of my birthday send to me through the Internet. You brought tears to my eyes while many memories of my childhood came back to me by looking at the entrance and the windows of our home at Kobayat where I grew up.

Elie you are God sent to us all in Lebanon and abroad. You are a treasure of talents, I hope you pass your skills to your children so that they follow your example. I am not surprised by your extreme bounty because you are the beloved son of my beloved teacher, Bakhos who left a great impact upon me until now.

Please say hi to your parents. I enjoyed the visit of your sister and Edward and your children last summer during our "eed as-Sayde".

Please keep the good work up.

God bless you Elie, you are in my prayers.
